Upon completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

  1. Educate the parent to balance the risks of whether or not to administer medication to their child - benefits of treating vs not treating
  2. Understand that treatment is multimodal with medication being the most powerful tool
  3. Evaluate if a medication is the right medication and the right dose for this child; how effective the medication is, and how well it is tolerated
  4. Review neuroanatomy and the effect of medication to assist in educating the parent
  5. Review medications, indications, dosing, side effects
