Dr. Weinberger is Professor of Pediatrics and Director of the Pediatric Allergy and Pulmonary Division at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, as well as Director of the University of Iowa Cystic Fibrosis Center and the Iowa Cystic Fibrosis Newborn Screening Program. He received his baccalaureate degree and his M.D. from the University of Pittsburgh; and did his pediatric residency at the University of California Medical Center at San Francisco. He completed a fellowship in allergy and clinical immunology at the National Jewish Hospital and Research Center. Dr. Weinberger has received many awards from national and professional bodies, serves on numerous clinical editorial boards and is the author of hundreds of book chapters, peer review articles and monographs.
