Dr. Weinberger is Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Iowa and Director of Pediatric Allergy and Pulmonary Division, as well as the Cystic Fibrosis Center there. Dr. Weinberger has his baccalaureate and medical degrees from the University of Pittsburgh, and did his pediatric training at the University of California Medical Center in San Francisco. He was a Research Associate at the NIH Perinatal Research Branch, and also did fellowships in allergy, pulmonology, and clinical pharmacology at the National Jewish Hospital and the University of Colorado in Denver. He has been a recipient of awards from the American College of Allergy, the American Lung Association, the Pediatric Pharmacy Advocacy Group, and is the author of over 150 scientific articles, chapters and monographs.
